Sustainable Dynamics 2024: Let's Clean Up Our Beaches

Waste collection on the beaches of Getxo in collaboration with Getxo City Council and our partners in Uribe Kosta: Aloka, Fangaloka and UK Skatepark. For one month several containers will be used to clean our beaches of rubbish. Once the waste has been collected, we will separate it and use the plastics to process them and use them to make the festival prizes, thanks to a collaboration with Circular Design Factory.

Press conference at EITB in Bilbao to present the programme and the new features of the new edition of the Laboral Kutxa Bilbao Surf Film Festival 2024. The organisers of the festival, together with surprise guests and leading figures from the Basque surfing scene, will present the innovative programme of the ninth edition of the biggest Basque surf film festival: films in competition, exhibition documentaries, activities and workshops, competitions and workshops… In addition to unveiling some of the names of the star guests of this edition. In the presence of the local authorities and aimed at the main media and the general public, we look forward to seeing you there!
School matinees for students in Bizkaia

Morning sessions aimed at schools in Getxo and Bizkaia in which different short films will be screened and informative talks and educational workshops will be given, focusing on culture and sport, respect for the environment and inclusion and diversity as central themes and values to be transmitted by the world of surfing. The schoolchildren will share moments of entertainment and reflection on surfer culture.

Grand opening of the LKBSFF 2024 at Muxikebarri in Getxo, with the presence of prominent guests from the surf, film and sports industry. The Festival kicks off with the screening of the first session of the Official Selection. A sign language interpreter will be available for the hearing impaired who may require their services to attend the ceremony.
In addition, the gala will present novelties such as the ‘Surfing360’ project developed with Xabi Lopez as the protagonist for EITB / Primeran, the video greeting of the SurfAida solidarity association and the personalised surfboard that is donated to the Itsasmuseum every year will be unveiled.
