Open registrations for the Bilbao Surf Film Festival 2024 in its 9th edition!
The highly anticipated Bilbao Surf Film Festival 2024 announces that registrations to submit films for its upcoming edition are officially open. Filmmakers and surf lovers from around the world can submit their masterpieces until December 15th, 2023 for free.
Following the success of the 2023 edition, which attracted numerous candidates from over 15 different countries, the organization is once again seeking a wide and diverse selection of films. The festival, which will take place from February 28th to March 3rd, 2024, will once again have its official venues in Bilbao (Itsasmuseum) and Getxo (Muxikebarri).
The Official Selection of the Bilbao Surf Film Festival 2024 will consist of films selected by a professional, experienced, and recognized jury in the audiovisual and surfing world, both at the Basque and international level.” The chosen films will compete for the festival’s prestigious awards, which include: Best Film (best feature film), Best Short Film (best short film), Best Local Film (best Basque film), Best Action Sports Film (best action sports film) , Audience Award (awarded by public vote) and Jury Award (special mention from the jury).
In addition, some cinematographic pieces that are not part of the main competition will have the opportunity to be exhibited as guest films during the event.
